Welcome to the Ziccolella Middle School!    

It is my honor to welcome you as Principal of this great school.  Learning takes an entire community, and I grow more and more proud of the Graham community with each passing day.  We have outstanding students who are committed to learning and doing all they can to reach their full potential.  The parents and guardians of our students understand the importance of building and maintaining the bridge between the home and school and work hand in hand with us as true partners in their child's education.

 I am especially grateful for our teachers and staff who are truly dedicated to each of our Graham students.  They work to not only help our students reach their immediate academic goals but to inspire them for a future of lifelong learning. 

 In addition to educational opportunities, our students are offered a host of extra-curricular activities to enrich their learning experience.  We also employ the use of the PBIS (Positive Behavior and Intervention Supports) model which addresses the behavioral and discipline systems needed for successful learning and social development of students.  At the Graham School, we teach our students to R.O.A.R.   That is to be Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible students and citizens.

Project Based Learning High School Program

Project-based learning is a comprehensive instructional approach in which students begin with inquiry and collaborate with their teachers and peers to develop a deep understanding of the core learning content in science, social studies, English and mathematics through hands-on, multifaceted tasks.The Project-Based Learning Program that is a part of the Martin Luther King Jr. High School offers the same Regents-Based courses that culminate in Regents credit and NYS Regents exams. The instructional strategies are progressive and the performance tasks for the coursework include multi-media projects, collaborative student work, and student presentations.
